Tea Time

Once more I find myself, my friends, my hopeful lovers, and (of course) enemies returning to the University with a great energy and a heavy, throbbing pulse, which taps into everyone via the topmost part of the cranium. Incendiary flames from heaven pour in and lift us up to ride high across these Grounds. TJ Would Be Proud

Why is it that when something at our university is the oldest, it is regarded as the best? The oldest a capella group, the oldest debate society, the oldest dorms—when you think about it, it doesn’t make much sense. But out with the new and in with the old, as they say. I’m proposing to start the oldest club in the whole world: the Prostitution Club. It is the perfect club. It is fun, traditional (as it is the oldest profession in the world), and a great résumé buffer. What’s that I hear? Summer Scene Summary

As I finished my last exam on the afternoon of May 4th, I was faced with four months of sporadic employment and copious time to be spent in a relatively sparsely populated Charlottesville. Living in a house with several U.Va. alumni, closer to downtown than the Corner, and working as an in-house roadie at the Tea Bazaar, a music venue and hookah bar on the Downtown Mall, I had the pleasure of seeing local and touring bands for free. My nights off were spent exploring other venues and seeing what they had to offer music-wise.Read more...
